Safetysorb™ Zeolite is routinely utilized in building
applications which specify the use of lightweight aggregate. It may
also be used where pozzolan or dimension stone is requested.
Safetysorb™Zeolite is particularly unique and affords you the
following advantages:

Safetysorb™ Zeolite replaces as much as 25% of the cement mixture.
- The
porous structure yields less weight per cubic foot (Safetysorb™
Zeolite
is 68% lighter than sand, providing a significant increase in bulk
materials per ton) yet provides similar hardness and strength as sand.
- It is
available in particle sizes which are less coarse than sand, thereby
spreads easier and provides a smoother concrete surface with no
clumping.
- It is
totally free of clay. Clay has no binding strength and detracts from
the overall strength of the concrete, if it is present.
- Substituting
Safetysorb™ Zeolite
for sand could provide significant costs
reductions in building structure design due to the reduced weight.
- The
weight advantage will also make material handling easier and could
result in greater worker productivity.
- The
porous nature of
Safetysorb™ Zeolite
will hold moisture in the micro structure,
thereby enhancing and facilitating a more rapid curing of the
concrete.

Safetysorb™ Zeolite
is not intended for use on exterior surfaces in climates
that experience freezing temperatures as freezing moisture will cause
the surface to flake.
