Safetysorb™ Zeolite is an ideal product for your pet litter due to its unique capability of capturing ammonium nitrogen and preventing formation of ammonium that causes odor from animal waste. It also removes 60% moisture, absorbing up to 60% of its weight in water. This de-moisturizing capability not only reduces odor but also decreases the attraction of flies and insects. Safetysorb™ Zeolite has a low clay content which renders it relatively dust free. It is a natural mineral, containing no additives of any kind, and is environmentally safe for you and your pet. The pet litter can then be recycled to the garden or lawn as an ammoniated soil amendment. An application of Safetysorb™ Zeolite in the pet litter box will reduce odor for up to 3-4 weeks.


Can guests detect by the odor that you own a cat?

SafetySorb™ Zeolite will completely do away with that offensive ammonia odor. Zeolites can be used one of two ways to control cat litter box odors. First, you may fill the litter box to a depth of 2 - 3 inches and use just as any other cat litter. Remember to remove solid waste as needed and completely change litter once a week, or as needed. Second, zeolite may be used as a cat litter enhancer by placing 1 inch in the bottom of the litter box and then filling with your favorite cat litter.
